Oil and Methane Gas fields - Complying with OSHA regulations:
The Model 600DR, known as the "Rig Heater" is a flameless heater. Meaning there is no open flame and even the alternator is spark-less. OSHA requirements prevent, "open flamed type heaters for use on the rig floor, substructure, or cellar." You can set this Rig Heater next to the wellhead for worker comfort and not be violating these OSHA requirements.
Construction sites:
The Model 600DR industrial heater provides multiple uses on commercial construction sites. This heating unit will provide clean, dry, contaminate-free air for worker comfort for equipment maintenance in the winter. It can be used for thawing pipes or providing warm air for preparation of concrete work. It can thaw ground, or be used as a heating source to aid in the curing process for concrete or interior and exterior finishes. It is self-contained and requires no electricity.
Flood clean up:
For use in cleaning up after a flood or fire related water damage, the Model 600DR is again a leader in providing clean dry air. The unit may be used inside or outside the structure and is safer and more efficient than electric heaters or gas heaters (direct fired, indirect fired, infrared heaters or furnaces). The 600 DR does not have a fuel-fired flame to add moisture to the air. Thus, discharge air is clean and dry.
Safety
The Model 600 DR utilizes several safety features to protect both employees and your investment in the unit. It uses a brushless alternator to reduce the possibility of sparks generated in the engine compartment. Secondly, the absence of an open-flame reduces the chances of spontaneous combustion of flammable gases that may be present in the working environment. In addition, removal of an open flame heat source eliminates carbon monoxide gases and high moisture contents from heated air, leaving a safe, comfortable working environment. Even the exhaust heat exchanger safely draws temperatures of the exhaust stack to a level employees will not get burned if contact with the stack occurs. Exhaust may be vented outside the work area, leaving the area contaminate free.
Further safety features are incorporated to protect your investment. All products may be equipped with a set of shut-off switches that: 1) shut engine down water temperature exceeds 210 degrees F, 2) engine oil pressure drops to 25 psi, 3) engine speed exceeds 200 rpm above throttle governor speed, and 4) hydraulic plate oil pressure drops to 5 psi. This unit meets or exceeds OSHA, MSHA, and API standards for use in most areas.
