- A Dymax 20” Forestry Tree Shear with optional accumulator is ideal for thinning in small logging operations.
- Dymax 20” Forestry Tree Shears feature double arm grapples that securely grab the tree as the shear arms are activated.
- The Forestry Tree Shear is designed for machines with a minimum of 128 hp, minimum flow rate of 40-45 gpm and 44,000 lbs of operating weight.
- Shearing cylinder is rated at 3,500 to 4,000 psi, and optimum results will be obtained near those levels.
- Shear blade is comprised of 3/4” Hardox 400 high tensile steel and is easily replaced when worn.
- Machine must be equipped with auxiliary valve, controls and hard lines.
- Counterweight may be required on certain models of machines.

A Dymax 20” Forestry Tree Shear with accumulator is installed on a 20 ton hydraulic excavator. Unit is used in clearing roadways and maintaining country road right-of-ways. Considerable time is saved and exposure to worker compensation claims from manual clearing is reduced. Shear can be equipped with either manual or hydraulic rotator.
