Max Hydraulic Planetary Earth Auger Drives with augers and heads for any substance
DOWN-PRESSURE DRILLING MACHINE for hydraulic units 10-30 gpm up to 3,000 PSI
The M Series (Max) is a medium duty in the relative Belltec line, in three models ranging from 1,339 - 3,582 ft lbs torque. For applications where you are drilling lots of holes. (If you are doing lots of super-serious work you will opt for a Belltec H-Series model). Coupled with BELLTEC's augers for dirt and rock, these drilling units meet all your drilling needs from dirt to solid rock and concrete.
Downward pressure units provide the ability to dig more vigorously through harder materials from dirt to solid rock and concrete with slower drilling speeds from higher capacity hydraulics such as from full-size backhoes and more. These units mount easily to most models of skid steer loaders, backhoes, extending boom forklifts, small excavators and tractor front-end loaders. No case drain hoses are required.
FEATURES:
Heavy-Duty Reversible Hydraulic Motor. High pressure seal. No snap rings
Belltec "heavier-than-them all" PLANETARY Gear Reduction
Heavy-Duty Hexagon Housing constructed of 3/8" steel plate
Use with Belltec H-Series Augers - the heaviest and most proven for rock and dirt
2" Hex Output Shaft (the heavier H-Series has a bolt-on flange for drive protection)
MODELS AND SPECIFICATIONS:
Fit the right model to your hydraulic system. Optimum auger speed commonly is at 50-70 RPM.

Choose Augers and Extensions.
Dirt augers are mostly for the Midwest alluvial soils. The "penny test" indicates rock harness. Either the penny will scratch the rock or the rock will scratch the penny. Belltec Augers will drill either but hard rock REQUIRES maximum down pressure and maximum torque. But the heaviest-duty auger you can afford. Replacement teeth are inexpensive but not commonly needed. Belltec Augers are standard in four foot lengths with extensions to six foot. Additional extensions or an Ellington Expandable Kelly Bar can be added to dig to depths of 20 plus feet. (Belltec has an excellent warranty up to five years on some models but limited to 10 foot depths).
